My Angel

by: Jessica Tucker

An angel stood before me,
with wings of gold.
A smile across her face,
left me warm, no longer cold.
As I stood in disbelief,
I noticed similarities between her and me.
Our eyes as clear as crystal,
and filled with glee.
Our hair silky and brown,
shiny with a lot of wave.
She stood seemingly filled with love,
that I once craved.
the more I looked,
the more in ah I was,
to see something so beautiful,
and to hear her wings buzz.
I said hello to her,
and then I realized,
I was looking within myself,
and my inner angel looking out.
