What is the opportunity cost of freedom?

Only the lives of those we may or may not know.

So, why then do we take it all for granted?

Instead, I choose to honor and say thank you,

To the brave, who now march,

On the forsaken soil of the Promised Land.

Looking down upon their families,

In hopes that they will persevere.

Their boots are furnished with freedom.

Their weapons, branded with the will of Death,

And their helmets, with the broken promise of protection.
