Please don’t hate that which you don’t understand.

Don’t look down upon what you see as ‘weird’.

Don’t shun the one who’s always underhand.


There was a boy I knew who always feared.

Stemmed from cruel beatings of disapproval.

Yet through the pain, he always persevered.


Even after an abrupt removal,

They teased and laughed at the bruises he had.

But he had no need for their approval.


The scars that covered his body were bad.

He looked like he fell in a vat of knives.

That’s what the cruel, heartless kids always said.


But the effects of their words went unplanned,

And I can sit here, able to withstand.
