Beat. Beat, beat; beat—beat.

Change, it comes in waves.
Not to know, why behavior changes
I lie down, twitching on the ground.
To have thought hammers would pound,
I lie hopeless to its reign
And eager for the pain.

With as a many a revolution
As the French, comes a new conclusion.
Change occurring so much,
If only stability could touch
Me hand in hand, then maybe
Normalcy could find me.

It comes in waves like deep blue
Orbs gazing into nothingness.
Now is the final cue,
And it’s my turn in chess;
Perhaps now that it’s my move
I can show you what I can prove.

Beat—beat—beat—beat—beat—
Beat.
