I again find myself, traveling, alone, and far from home.

I hear no one calling my name, only the wind across a beautiful prairie.

I feel no warmth from love, only gentle sunlight on my face.

I have no companionship to quell my lonely soul, only resolve to be the man I was destined to be.

I stand tall against the fence line, a guardian for others, a man with a purpose but outside the town, always watching over, ever vigil, devoted to diligence.

My Empty hands are held high today, seeking guidance, and a direction. While hope may be missing from my day, Faith is not. I have not made it this far to see my fire extinguished.

I will find my way. I will stay the course. I will be the man I am supposed to be.

I will rise one day, and praise God for the lessons I have learned that I can pass onto others.

I will hear the voice of an angel calling my name.

I will feel the loneliness leave my soul and be replaced with warmth.

I will be filled with hope for others as I rise, and hear my name, calling me home.
