Carry Me just a little bit further

My heart is not in this today; my soul is away on vacation.
If I were to tell myself everything will be ok, fate would throw something at me as it always does.
If I were to convince myself I could get through this, time would stand still.
If I were to counsel myself to understand that this isn’t the end of the world my life would end.
So I will compellingly flank my foe and live my life 5 minutes at a time as a scout sniper would travel across an open field to dispatch an HVT. Silently, carefully, intentionally with no room for error. No second place. No Mulligans. Defiantly I refuse to forget what good deeds I have done. Selfishly I will expect that the life altering moments I have further spared others from will have provided me the strength to realize I am here for a reason.
Kiran Murti, “Blessing of the Heart” is playing in my background.....and I smell yesterday, hear tomorrow and feel right now.
