Fireflies in the field, how you all dance
Sprightly like the wind, shining like the stars;
A happiness without a voice.

The dark cloud-covered sky breathes,
The constellations forming before my eyes
Are the fluttering stories told by silent wings.

A soft touch on my cheek glows green-yellow,
A mystery in the ever-scowling night,
Withholding nothing, yet uttering no sound.

How delicate and weak, your tiny bodies;
Caught between my palms, you fade away,
Like waking from a noiseless dream.
