Steady upon the railed heat

of bead lightening

He steers his charged chariot

into the eye of the cyclone

Avoiding the frequent quakes

of sonorous thunder

He negotiates the strobes

that flash the sodden air

Extended whip of direction

finds the driven horses

That lead him straight into

a flux of over static air

Determination sees him attempt

the twisted vortex

Vulgar bolts of anger

look to dismount his stout attempt

Hoof on air

charred steel in flight

Still he rides

the tornado fuelled skies

The sound of triumph

emanates from trailing vector winds

The nail of victory

scratches at the stubborn storm of night

Only as the heavens settle

and grilled deposits are cleansed

Will he and his mighty stallions

reflect upon their perilous path

A journey he and they know

will be attempted again and again
