Just a quicky I wrote a while back.

Deserts
Of lonely nothingness.
Beasts of my soul.
Who long to learn to drink.
From the world's simple joy,
Of prosperous islands that shimmer on the brink.
They feed off of pure mirages.
Those decievingly wicked tricks.
I lie under the blistening sun,
And rest as all of eternity lolls by.
Long have I laid like this.
Craving only death.
To pull me from these,
Rolling sands of misery and sorrow.
