There are times when we are fragile but wounds heal and the pain passed to another.

When I look into a mirror
I do not see a young child
But a broken, fragile individual
I stroke my fingertips on its rugged lines
Reflect on the past mistakes and regret
Every opportunity I could had taken
I wonder if things would had been different
If I took care of it
But instead I broke it
I expect the mirror to be shattered soon
But strangely enough it didn’t
It grew thicker and harder
The cracks that were once visible in youth
Are hard to see
As time goes the mirror became new
It became unrecognizable
When my daughter found it
With a broken one in her hand
