Paranoia

Drips into strings

Braided around my fingers

Tying off the written words

Of the imagination

The strings

Turn into ivy

Piercing through my chest

To my heart

Constricting each beat

Thorns bud

From the tortuous vine

And prod the webs

Of thought

Collecting in the dark mind

Of a lonely writer
