I never liked him.

But I always toyed with the idea of saying yes. Of agreeing to be a couple. I sit behind in him Driver's Ed now, with his Beatles cut and eighties sweatshirt. I still straighten my hair everyday for him. He doesn't talk to me now. And I don't talk to him.

We used to hang out, loitering and holding hands, hopping fences and crawling around the railroad tracks. We went on a date once and he always paid when we went to Blockbuster. I didn't like him. But I miss him.
