I’ve always wondered what it would be like to drown

They say it’s the most painless way to go

But it doesn’t look that way

Struggling helplessly for air you cannot get

Suffocating

Arms flailing

Desperate

I feel like I’ve been drowning my whole life

Submerged in a world I long to escape

Every time I struggle for what I want

I fall deeper below the surface

My arms flail

But my heart already knows

I struggle

But with no avail

And nobody there to save me

Helpless and desperate

My lungs fill

All feeling seeps from my body

And I drown too
