I wish to hold you,
Like a mother holds her child,
If only you loved me,
Oh how desperate I want to see your smile.
I need you today,
I need to feel you warm,
I need your love,
So my heart can again be born.
Do you love me like I love you.
If not,
Oh please tell me what to do.
I'll cherish you like a diamond,
Make you clean and well,
If only you knew,
How much you make my heart swell.
Do you hear me my love,
Do you hear me when I cry,
Would my cries ever haunt you,
If I were to die.
Is it wrong to love this much,
Is it right to hurt this much,
Is it okay that when you're gone,
My life begins to rush.
What controls the fact,
That you're my addiction,
But you pretend you don't know me,
When I'm mentioned.
Desperate at heart,
Desperate to love,
When will I live,
When will I see my graceful white dove.
I pray for you forever,
I pray looking up at the night ocean sky,
Praying and praying
For you not to die.
Why don't you care,
Why don't you see,
Why can't you just love me for me.
You'll never love me now,
I guess I'm letting you go,
I'm running away far,
To where no one will ever know.
