Times were good.
They seemed so happy.
Nothing could make the day even better.
Things started to change.
Lost of interest took place.
The toy begged to stay,
And to remember the good times.
But you couldn't hear.
You wanted something more complicated.
You wanted something better.
You wanted out.
As you carry and look at the toy for the last time,
You see something in its eyes.
Emptiness and alone.
Nothing to grab onto,
Nothing to hold in return.
You put it in its box,
Saying your peace treaty.
To make yourself feel good,
You tell it lies,
You say that it was the best toy you ever had,
And that there was nothing like it.
Tragedy struck the toy as it falls into the unwanted section.
It felt good inside,
With all the lies of love.
Then you got a new toy,
Playing with it in hand,
You watch the garbage man take the once loved toy away.
As the toy cries and finally dies,
You continue to live.
The toy knew.
It was counting down the days it had to enjoy life...
When you stopped and looked at the used toy for the last time,
It looked back and cried,
Throw me away,
Like I knew you would.
