Halloween Faces
My face does look strange, ever so strange. My face
is full of grotesque faces that stare and laugh at me
from the mirror's glass. They begin to eat my face
away, and become uglier and uglier, till my face is
gone, and all that's left is a menagerie of monster
faces that eat my body till it's gone!
But then the Halloween children come thumping on
my door, they yell and threaten me. They have no
faces, so I give them the sinister faces that have replaced
mine, and then they leave to scare the neighbourhood.
Then with relief I realise my body is growing back,
and when I look in the mirror I see my face has
returned, and it appears normal. It no longer looks
strange, it's covered with hundreds of eyes that stare
back at me!
