The Black Sun

Wierd things happen in the sky, I had to go outside this

morning with a torch to see the sun, it was black. The other

night I saw a plane fly straight into the moon, but it wasn't

reported on the news, it wasn't even shown on the internet.

So I'm outside shining my torch so i can see the sun,

when I see some movement in the darkness, I point my

torch, and there's a naked man hiding there. He looks the worst

for wear. he's very thin, and much taller than me, with a strange

looking head and long unruly hair. He's covered with scars.

I light a smoke to give me some confidence to go up to him.

He grabs it of me, and starts burning himself with it.

- No! Don't do that!

- Help me mister, I'm dead.

- No you're not.

- Give me a smoke!

I realise that his scars are all burn marks, that he enjoys

burning himself.

- Where are you from?

- Fought in the war mister, give me a smoke, give me your

matches!

- You'll burn yourself.

- Used to work in a chocolate factory mister.

- Well you've got shit all under your fingernails now, and they're

so long. Come inside, I'll clean you up and find you some

clothes.

- Help me mister I'm dead! Give me a smoke mister!

And then he jumped at me and knocked me over, and stole

the matches from my pocket. From the ground I watched as he

set fire to his long hair, and ran away alight. I called out but it

was the to late, the black fires of the sun had sucked him up into

its blaze.
