Yank Psychologist

Uncle Johnno tells Claw while he doesn't think I'm

'round, " I go to work to look after my family, not that

Mary ain't got her problems, ain't had a root of her for

years, and Jasper's always hangin' around with those

other long haired bastards that don't do nothin' but hang

around all day like queers, and take drugs.

Mary takes him off to that yank psychologist she goes

to, Christ knows why, she don't even tell me why she

goes to see him, She was off her rocker when I married

her, but I didn't realise till I started living with her, all I

know is that it's my money that pays to send Jasper to

see him, and it won't do Jasper no good, he's already

too far gone, you should watch out you don't end up

like him, you will if you keep hangin' around with the

likes of him, and then you'll be seeing a bloody yank

as well...

And what did the bloody yanks do for anyone except

steal our women when we were fightin' the Japs during

war. Mary calls him Dr Buddha the hypnotist, hypnotist my

arse, he's just another do-gooder."

That's the last time I see Uncle Johnno. he went missing

again after that. He must have gone on another bender.

Auntie Mary tell me that the last time she saw him he was

quarrelling with Mr Shadow over a flagon in the backyard,

And Mr Shadow was accusing him of having an affair

with Maya before she married him, and he was boasting

to Mr Shadow that he was my real father.

But Auntie Mary says to me, " That's all nonsense,

Johnno never touched your mother, she would have told

me if he tried! " She says to me she didn't know what

happened to Uncle Johnno after that, and didn't care

either. That if she never sees him again it will be too

soon. She says he's gone, and that's good riddance.
