LATE-NIGHT BAR TALK

having this sit-down with young broad full of electricity

and distant rock and roll obsessions

chain-smoking in the gray late-night bar-talk

round thighs touching me softly

arguing and moaning and laughing at every turn I get lost,

lost in those deep brown headlights loaded with sadness,

loaded booze-brain-mindshift she so luvly

adrift in the cigarette butts and punk-rock ashtrays,

wine stained smile she grins loudly

me thinking 'bout the space between the table

and her crotch

andher huge brown hair making shadows

and the sunshine moment lost in the endless

ramshackle parade...
