I simply wanted to write a rhyme dedicated for my Grandmother as my new year's gift and express those I have no courage to say in person, especially the way I value her in my life.

I consider not this as poem myself, but an expression of my humble and sincere appreciation and gratitude for all the love, care and time she has given me, my siblings and cousins just to ensure that we are to grow up with good values.

Furthermore, I wanted something to remind me how lucky I am for all the blessing I never asked whenever I feel down and especially, when I have had gotten older, to remind myself how I was loved.

P.S.
I am not a professional writer --- just a sentimental grandson.

I still can recall how elegant you were On a palette of black, violet and a peacock
As we walk along our way, people has to greet you with a smile and a happy tone.
Way back then I knew, people loves you as if there was no blue.
Saturday and Sunday will never be your off on my childhood cues.

Days has come and I need to learn,
my mom sent has me to school where I find you out of sight.
I knew now how you missed me as you lifted me swiftly with caress now I longed.

Each time I'm sad nor bored and flawed, you comforted me with stories of life now I can see.

My words won't be too long and my eyes might dry up but never my love to you will put into past.

I dedicate this rhyme just for you to know, how your apo has missing you so.

I hope I'll have the courage not cry when it's you I wanted never to say goodbye.

So I made myself a pact, not to be late to give you back, my love enclosed with this words of heart.

I love you my one and only Inang Baket.
