Somehow I fell for your new awkwardness.

And I don’t know if you knew it.

I was fooled I was killed.

When they came in with guns I fought for you.

Somehow I dodged all the bullets and they missed you too.

Then I cried out as the bullet hit me.

I fell for you and took the bullet meant for you.

I figured out their plans to late.

All I wanted to do was save you.

To help you, to make you smile.

I don’t want to push you away.

Now I’m dying all alone.

Thinking of the time I spent watching you get hurt.

Trying to find out what is wrong.

I was kicked when I was down.

Yet somehow it made me stronger.

I want to make you smile.

And I love the way you laugh.

But when the bullets were fired I took them on.

And it was the last I saw.

All I wanted was to do was hide and let the bullets fly.

But you got in the cross hairs. Somehow you made me afraid.

Somehow you made me look twice before I fought.

Yet there were too many and they wanted you.

Somehow the bullet pierced my heart and

The bullet killed me.

Somehow they got to you.

Somehow they got through me.

But I didn’t let the bullet get in my way.

All I wanted to do was save you.

And I failed for that I am sorry.

Somehow I made it to the last of them.

Slit their throat and fell for the final time.

I’ve been gone for a while now

Somehow … somehow

All I wanted to do was make you smile.

And somehow …. Somehow

You changed me.

Somehow.
