The stars cast a soft blue hue over the sandy ground, the scent of summer rain filling the air. She was perfection, in that simple floor length cream gown she wore; one strap slipping slightly off her shoulder as she danced with him, barefoot, under the star lit sky. He’d never seen her look so happy. The way he could see her smile under the dim moonlight, sent shivers down his spine. The look of true contentment in her once broken eyes; that brilliant sparkle, she was so full of life. She was always afraid of the dark, but now, everything seemed to fit, she looked so relaxed, as if she’d been waiting for this moment all her life. They seemed not to care as the rain began to soak them to the bone, the whole time, looking deeply into each others eyes. This was always their recluse; the first place they ever met. The very place they visited…unknowingly, at the same time for years, the place they came to escape reality, to escape the loneliness that seemed to follow them. This was the first place they ever laughed together, where they discovered that there was no need to feel alone anymore.
