This is a poem inspired by the great poet, Robinson Jeffers. It is a dark poem of after-life. And missing your loved one once they've passed.

LOST IN AFTERLIFE

As I am in this life I will no longer be.
As I look at you now you will not see me.
I will diceace.
And you will wither with pain.
I ask of you not , but to look at me without a tear.
Look at me with passion.
As I am in this life I will be no longer.

I can see you.
You no longer me.
But I will be with you.
Without a single sight and only a sense.
A presence of mine you will feel.
As I will be gone without a trace.
Looking at you from a distance as you smile in remembrace.
You will soon forget.
I hope that you do not.

As you forget me I lose my purpose in afterlife.
I pass by the darkened doorway toward the golden white light.
I see the king.
I see him.
He looks at me and smiles; gleaming.
I look in confusion.
Down below me is you.
Laughing and smiling.
You live your life as I live my after.
I watch you as you are smiling and laughing.
I watch you.
You without me.
