FORGIVEN

Look at me and tell me what You see.
Do you see opportunity? Potential?
Or do you see what I see? A freak.
A monster who destroys without rebuilding.
A thief who takes without giving back.
A creature undeserving of the name "Man"

I don't see how You could forgive me.
I am not worthy of any mercy.
All that I deserve is death.
But yet You have forgiven me.

Living in hindsight, not looking to
The future, so unknown, so inevitable.
Realizing all the decay I have caused,
And unable to do anything to reverse it.
I scream to the sky for guidance, for hope,
And fall to my knees, accepting weakness.

I don't see how You could forgive me.
I am not worthy of any mercy.
All that I deserve is death.
But yet You have forgiven me.

Why is it that we only pray when we need help?
Why is it that we only praise when we are happy?
Why are we complaining when we made the mess?

I don't see how You could forgive me.
I am not worthy of any mercy.
All that I deserve is death.
But yet You have forgiven me.
I don't see how You could forgive me.
I am not worthy of any mercy.
All that I deserve is death.
But yet You have forgiven me.
I don't see how You could forgive me.
I am not worthy of any mercy.
All that I deserve is death.
But yet You have forgiven me.
Yes you have forgiven me.
And I am forever in your debt.
