I dove headfirst

Into the black

I didn’t know where I was going

But I had an idea

A vague, shimmering outline

On the crest of my tearing eyes

Which side

Must I choose

Is it the one where comfort lies

Where hollow memories

Plague my glimpse

Where shadows build chains, yet

 Allow dragons to fly

Did the tree that once bare fruit to me

Not have a trusty limb

Was the taste once sweet

Too much to take

Did the branch I hang on

Finally break

Within this fraction

My will moves on

I head into the dark

Therapeutically alarmed

It’s funny

Being under a dragon’s wing

It’s a lot warmer then you would think
