The Black House

They talk in whispers about that place
the black house upon the hill
No one living soul resides there
but a dark heart beats there still.

Its windows are like peering eyes
watching always, It doesn't sleep
It just lies there silent in the fog
where unknown demons creep.

The very air around the place is stagnant
And the reaper wanders the grounds at night
hoping to find his next request
A dangerous darkened plight.

The house has known sorrow
It has known unbearable pain
It's embedded into the very walls
the voices of those who were brutally slain.

It's a death house, a bleak house
A graveyard without ground
In the wind some can still hear the cries
It's a deathly awful sound.

Even from a distance it gives you shivers
The darkness hides behind each tree
extending their bony hands in limbo
thin skeletons of what they used to be.

Stay away from the Black house
In there your nightmares hide,
For if you step across it's stead
It will eat you from the inside.
