A Brief Narration

It’s shivering cold outside --

Darkness has made the moment numb,

Winter has made the moment fragile.

Someone is sitting alone, near the fireplace,

May be in the hope of receiving warmth.

But the warmth of fire has its own choice;

It’s not bound to appease anyone’s desire.

Something must burn inside his heart --

Something must try to instigate the fire;

But there is a void of such instigation!

The reclining chair is the witness

Of the ups and downs of life;

The empty bed is the witness

Of all that have been lost in obscurity.

The lonely man knows the curse --

The curse of winter still haunts him every night;

Every night in the winter

After the glass becomes empty,

After the wine has paved its way inside,

The reclining chair is the witness

Of the inability of him to love;

The empty bed is the witness

Of how he has lost the closest one.

It’s still a shivering cold outside,

It’s still the time to lament on this life.
