My name Red Price.

The facial expression of my friend was drained as soon as the long sword went straight through his back and out his chest. A surge of red glowing blood sprayed out of his chest and blood ran down his back. The sword then unsheathed from his body, and was held in a thick bulgy hand. He turned to me and walked slowly.

As the hooded figure came closer and closer I saw detail after detail of his face. Scars across his eyes that looked like they were sufficiently new came to my thoughts about where I had seen this from… of course it had to be, it just had to. Lucinda’s face became clearer.

His shining armour blinded me as he started to walk slightly faster. I had to start to think straight otherwise that sword along with Lucinda’s face would be the last thing I ever see again.

Slowly walking closer and closer I began to turn around and run… as I turned around I saw another face;  Daniel’s face became clear. Slowly stepping backwards I took my time to back away slowly.

All of the sudden I feel something hit my heel… I slowly look upward as I fall slowly to the ground, I had tripped. Daniel coming closer along with Lucinda. Both with weapons in their hands. Raising their hands… slowly swinging towards my face and chest. I had to do something, anything.

Slowly while I was about to be annihilated by two shining long swords I roll over on my side. I can hear the metallic clanking of both their swords hitting the ground at the same time indicated I was safe… for now. I quickly get back up off the dirt covered ground and run for my life.

I catch a glimpse of Lucinda and Daniel behind me so I begin to run faster and faster! In the distance I see a man that looks to have ended up the same way as my friend. I guess this person tried to defend himself with a long sword but failed. I quickly run towards it and pick it up and turn to face Lucinda and Daniel. I’m ready!

They get closer and closer “You play a dangerous game!” Daniel shouts towards me. My only friend gone from this world I start to think of what life would have been like if he wasn’t there, if I wasn’t there. Life would be perfect, well better than this anyway. I slowly raise my hand, grip the sword tightly and insert it into my chest, ejecting from my back I can feel the blood rushing down my body.

My last sight: Lucinda and Daniel quickly stopping to see what I’ve done.  Taking my life was better than ending up like my friend I fall to my knees, then my face. Blackness covers my face, my friend’s words come to mind: If fate frowns, we all perish.
