Imagine sleeping and dreaming about a dizzy ocean. You don't know where you are, who you are, or what to feel. If you're awake, you're just as confused and alone. If you're asleep, you're back in the horrors of your subconscious. There's no escape, you're only suffering.

Blister and bruise

Suffering fool

In the silent oceans of sleep

Underwater where we can't breathe.

Quiet drags me down

Far into my sea of nothing.

Empty sheds upon my gaze

Revealing the days passed by.

Awake is but a dream

To sleep away what couldn't be.

Scar tissue and blood

And a means to a flood

Things can only last so long

In the empty eyes of no one.
