Not really my scene, but even the most man of us can sometimes have these pansy writing urges. Still, I intend to continue with less like this and more like the other.

It’s late, and your rich laugh ricochets
Callously across the empty store.
Your cruel tease is like honey,
Like the syrups we float past
As you drag me across
The marble tiled floor,
Hanging

On your every word.
Time falters – we’re past the check out
Waiting for the others
And every split-second wing-beat word
You speak
Is a sonorous chime
Which rings and blurs time
And for a never ending moment,
I’m floating airily on the spot,
Twitching, paralyzed by your
Very voice
“You’re not heinously unattractive”
You say.
And my heartbeat ripples softly across
The shell of my body
In time with the line.
And for a second, an hour,
For a minute you’re mine.
