Wait, for the time will never come again

Let me write, let me scribble with this bleeding pen

The blot they leave would speak

You would have to hear even if it’s strong or weak!

Wait, for the moment is so beguiling

You’re close to me, see I’m happy, I’m smiling

Don’t let my lips twitch of fears and ignore

This obliviousness will make my heart sore!

Wait, for the roses have not wilted yet

Let me smell them to their greatest best

The fragrance is somehow stolen; stolen from you

You’re the beautiful Rose in my garden too!

Wait, for moon has not slept as thus far

Let me stroke your hair in the light of stars

Do not leave me behind when you walk away

I would rather breathe my last, I’ll have no other way!

Wait, for the waves have not stopped roaring

Dance on the beach won’t appear boring

I will watch the sailing boat

Whilst wearing your favorite coat!

Wait, for the paints have not faded yet

I can feel the brush still so wet!

Let me refashion the old painting

As I’ve wasted much in perpetual waiting!

Wait, for the rain has just stopped

Trees so fresh and roads are mopped!

Wait for the rainbow to dazzle in the sky

What if we say it Hi rather than goodbye?

Wait, for the poem has not finished yet

Remember that starry night when we met?

I sneaked you in my backyard

And there I exchanged with you my first greeting card!

This is absolutely magical dearest. I love the aspect of just waiting for a second, or a minute, because amazing things can happen in love when you are patient, and just wait an extra few seconds. Even Romeo and Juliet would of survived if they waited an extra minute! It's like when picking a flower, and you water it for a little longer, the colours it produces are beautiful. Or waiting a little longer to see spring come, and seeing all of the flowers grow, beautiful things can happen. A flower is the fragrance of love, so waiting is the best way to see love grow forever. I'm taking my time to read your rhymes, because they are growing like that rose. Your imagery is like the season of spring, and I wish this poem would take me three months to read, because I would see all of the beauty written. I absolutely love the last verse; sneaking that person who is a flower into the back yard to exchange greeting cards. Just beautifully put. Absolutely glorious Rehmat my dearest :)
