Open your eyes
To the beautiful blue skies
Where there’s no pain
And lots to gain
No more blows
Concealing the bruises underneath your clothes
He hurts you a lot
Your eyes are bloodshot
From all the pills
You take after the chills
That go through your body
After he drinks his whiskey
You come to me for comfort
You say he treats you like dirt and tell me why you hurt
I tell you to open your eyes
To the beautiful blue skies
Where there’s no pain
And lots to gain

Not sure the advice being given is sufficiently concrete. To benefit the person to whom it is being given.
Happy trails,
Ed Bradley.
