Memoir of a Japanese princess.

Her hair, dark and long,

Pinned up with sticks,

Her red lips sing songs,

Her fingers hold picks,

Born as a peasant,

Sold to a house,

Where she's given a present,

But never a spouse,

She would get what she needs,

But not what she wants,

She would not do good deeds,

For the men that she taunts,

Like a ginko leaf she danced,

Flowing just as the wind,

But she would tell no one of her romance,

Or of how she sinned,

She didn't want to be,

All that she was then,

For a geisha like she,

Was tossed between men,

So she had to run,

From her old life,

She packed a small bag,

And stole a pipe of gold,

As she took a long drag,

And became rather cold,

She ran to the bridge,

And snuck to the wood,

And there he sat at the ridge,

Wearing a longer hood,

He put her in the wagon,

And they were pulled into the night,

By what seemed like a dragon,

Once they gasped and took flight...
