Sometimes I like to close my eyes,

And just let time pass away,

Minutes lost forever, spent reminiscing,

To a time, I didn’t feel this way,

To a younger time, a carefree time,

It now seems so long ago,

A glorious time, an uproarious time,

Or at the time, I thought it so,

A time when friends were family,

And family were friends,

A place made of stone, that felt like home,

Where the laughing never ends,

Back when having fun, was getting spun,

And so was breaking all the rules,

When friends where there, without a care,

The foolish leading the fools,

It may seem strange, when things don’t change,

But then some other things do,

When your friends, who are your friends, are no longer your friends,

And the friends you have now use you,

Then you don’t know who to give your trust,

And who to give your spite,

Who will not let the friendship rust,

And give the darkness light,

That’s why I cease to close my eyes,

Letting the time just pass away,

For wasted minutes are lost forever,

And I will not lose today.
