Britain,

Well what can I say,

Its like living in a soggy tin,

I mean I could moan all day.

We have the Great British Monarchy,

The fish, chips and mushy peas,

It fills the old with a sense of glee,

But it's not that great, trust me, please.

The people rush here and there,

We have no thought for neighbours here,

People of Britain they just don't care,

It brings to my eye a single tear.

I had a dream to be the best,

But Britain will take this dream from me,

Growing up here is the ultimate test,

I dream of one day being free.

Strangely I feel a sense of obligation,

To this miserable and dark country,

It's soul that gives me a peculiar notion,

To lay my life down for it, I would do certainly.

So I end this poem with some hope,

I love this damned nation, I rest my case,

So I will continue to whine and mope,

With my blood strangely boiling for this wonderful place.
