Lifted up into cobalt,

Coruscate sun high.

Hammered hands rent

On timbers spanned.

Pitiless rays beat on

Barbed crown; spiked.

Bloodied from flailing,

Flanked by theives.

Assaulted with mocking

Charges and wounded

From thrusting spears.

Tainted water given.

And finally, time came.

The light withdrawn.

A black deed under

A blackening sky.

With expressed surrender

A head is bowed.

Forgiveness ushered.

It is finished.
