the last goodbye to you

i lost someone close to me that i loved and now their gone....

you whisper so softly into my ear
and said everything will be alright
you closed your eyes
and gently kissed me on the top of my head
and said quietly
" this isnt goodbye"
the next thing i knew
you were out the door
that moment i knew
you were already gone
knew you werent coming back
and that would be the last time i saw
the look in your eye
that held me together from the start
as you walked farther away
your figure began to fade
with a blink of the eye
you were no longer there
so tell me somehow
that you still care
when your no longer here
days went by
you never came
the next thing i knew
i was standing,
crying,
on your grave....
with a rose in hand
and tears falling down
i drop to my knees
and begged you "please"
i couldnt believe
that this was the end
that was the last "goodbye"
and the last time
i saw that look in your eye.....

oh, it's a terrible feeling to lose a loved one. this makes me feel so sad T_T but it's well-penned and you got the emotion and feel of the poem well. it's easy to see that it comes straight from the heart. great work.

and also, i'm sorry for your loss :(
