The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence,

where ever side I am not on.

My side seems dull and boring,

compared to across the fence.

Mine has the light brown grass,

As theirs is full and green.

As mine has nothing to envy,

When the other side of the fence is like a magazine.

I give them that,

since they are always so happy and cheerful.

And I really don't care,

I don't show my emotions.

Then one day,

the neighbor came over to my yard.

And when she took the first step upon my grass,

It seemed like it came to life.

We talked and talked,

as we laughed all day.

She got me to talk about my feelings,

and now our grass is the same.
