a prick of the finger
a drop of blood
i am alive
the intense swell of fear explodes
the urge of screaming is near
the pain of torment is here
sound goes silent
sight turns night
touch becomes pain
it is contagious
it is real
in the air
on the ground
in the water
within my breath
the feeling of control vanishes
the thought of comfort has dissipated
the reassurance of life is dwindled
fetal is now how i lay
unprotected and naked
shrouded by this fear
by this life uncontrolled
the thoughts of sanity
the remembrance of love
the embrace of life
the security of control
are faded images
faded lusts
yearned fortunes
a prick of the finger
a drop of blood
i am still alive
me

Really liked it. You're one of the people who write poems that I can actually understand. Watch your spelling and capitalization though. Otherwise I think your a terrific writer:) Great job.

Sun, February 10th, 2008 1:48amOkay, now I've been reading all your stuff after one caught my eye. And I've "liked" it. Loved it really. But I wasn't commenting. Now I am. These are so beautiful. I really do believe that you could go far. Your style is particular to you and I like it just the way it is. Just, perfection. With a little edit you will be up there. Keep it up, as well as your chin. Beautiful.

Classy Peach
The art of suffering. pass the torch. only thing is you forgot the part where a tear usually blurs your vision and takes away the clear sight of what you do not want to see. Wonderfully done. Bravo.
