Always waiting, wondering,
wishing and wanting.
Needing and yearning for that I can not obtain.
Intrusting in those whom I know I shall not,
but they are not to be at blame.
Blinded by my false insecurities, and my shallow shame.
I am led by their hand, as if I had been tamed.
Twisting and turning they have led me astray.
Tormenting me every step of the way.
Snickering and laughing as I struggle to remain.
I feel weak and frail, within every step I become more lame.
Each breath I take seems harder than before.
But still I stand led by your hand, as if I crawl on all four.
Further and further you take me into the darkness of your forsaken land
I struggle and strain to regain my hand.
But, still you remain, leading and pulling me .
I attempt to run,and I try and try to flee.
I cannot, I am trapped.
Trapped by me,
trapped by my own disbeliefs,
by my own disbeliefs in me.
