It is a promise we kept,
Before the end of the world,
That you and I would stay together
Even if the heavens were raining fire and smoulder.

Spirits rising from their graves in bliss,
The world undoing itself, piece by piece,
A continent sinking in ethereal bound,
A mountain swallowed onto the lamented ground,

Whilst our voices echoed in merriment,
Ourselves huddled somewhere in this chaotic clad,
Promise me, you will be there when I say,

"Really, it's not that bad."
