Work and Play

Live today not tomorrow is what people say.

To me, I would rather plan for tomorrow’s game.

The fun today has no worries during the day.

Planning today would help one to future fame.

Partying curdles one’s mind to that fixed moment.

That moment expression creates a loss for words.

Hoping and praying there won’t be any atonement.

In that one instance, one feels freely as the birds.

Planning for the day to come sucks up meditation.

Mentally drained of what might be or is to come.

The preparation rewards due to each situation.

Maybe one day one can find the beat to life’s drum.

Live today not tomorrow is what people say.

Planning for the days to come keeps on ok.
