Are we almost there?

The road is long and arduous

My lungs are gasping for air

Are they following us?

I look into your eyes

They promise me an eternity

An eternity of what?

Is what I have been told lies?

I look forward.

Yes, I can see the light.

I feel warmth and joy overcoming me.

The wretched ice melts off my heart.

I feel my pulse radiate

I feel the happiness permeate.

I step out of the tunnel.

Yes, I can see the light.
