The night is dark

The night is solemn

There are no birds that sing

Only the faint chirp of crickets.

In the black sky

Standing against the backdrop of the heavens

Sits the full moon.

I stare into its lucidity.

I drift away.

I float astray.

Away from reality.

I fly away.

Away from tensions

Away from fears, hopes, and dreams

Into a place that I can call

“Home”.
