I explain why the Seahawks are still the NFC favorites.

The dominant force that has been the Seattle Seahawks for the past two seasons will continue in 2015 as Seattle attempts to reach the Super Bowl for the third straight season. If Seattle is able to accomplish this unthinkable feat, they will be the first team in the salary-cap era to do so. The last two seasons the Seahawks have absolutely dominated the league. In 2013 and 2014 they combined for a 25-7 regular season record while only losing twice at home. They also won the Super Bowl in 2013 and I believe they would have won the Super Bowl last season if they would have given Lynch the ball on the goal line instead of passing the ball, but that is another story altogether.

Seattle has a good chance to get back to the big dance because they bring back several of the players that they had during the last two seasons. Megastars such as: Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, Earl Thomas, Bobby Wagner, and many more. Add on to that the fact that the Seahawks added another megastar in the off-season. Seattle traded center Max Unger for New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham to give Wilson his biggest weapon to date. Graham is arguably the best tight end in the entire NFL, although I do think New England Patriot's Rob Gronkowski would have something to say about that. Graham gives Seattle another weapon that they honestly did not need given how amazing there defense has been in the last two seasons. One of the only things Seattle may have to worry about this season is the absence of pro bowl safety Kam Chancellor during his current holdout in which multiple sources have noted he could miss the whole season.

Besides Chancellor, a concern for the Seahawks in 2015 is how many contenders there will be in an absolutely stacked NFC. The Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, and Dallas Cowboys will all have something to say about Seattle getting to a third straight Super Bowl. As good as Seattle looks again this season there is a reason they would be the first team in the salary-cap era to get to three straight Super Bowl's, and that is because of how much stiff competition there is in the NFL year in and year out. However, I still believe Seattle to be the favorites in a stacked NFC given all of their experience and the fact that they added Graham in the off-season. Do not be surprised at all to see Seattle get to their third straight Super Bowl and this time maybe they will give the ball to Lynch on the goal line.
