Can You See Me
Can you see me? The real me? You see me smile. But can you see that all I want to do is cry? You see me laugh. But can you see how I really just want to scream? I am in pain on the inside but you can’t see that can you? You only see what you what to see. I just want to be seen as me. Can you see who that is?
Do you see the tears that are streaming down my face? Can you see misery when you look in my eyes? Can you see my pain? You don’t see misery, you see blue. I have news for you. My eyes are hazel and over flowing with pain, sadness contempt and hatred. Can you look beyond what you want and wish to see and just see me for who I am? I am right here in front of you.
You are blind. You can’t see the real me unless you open up you eyes, mind, and heart. Will you do that? Will you go through that much trouble? Then again, How could you see the real me when I don’t even know who that is? I know that it is not what you see but is it what I see?
