Snow Story

The magic of it's birth.
Not falling,
But landing,
So lightly to earth.

What wonder in science.
First melting,
On touching.
Then cool compliance.

Branches holding their own.
Extending,
Some bending.
The beauty has grown.

Grasses under snow's quilt,
Are resting,
In silence.
Sleep without guilt.

Dispersing it's powers.
Still mounting,
White outing,
Minutes to hours.

Beauty turns to weather.
Winds drifting,
Air howling.
Flakes stick together.

Weighted trees moaning,
Snapping,
Crashing.

Tires sliding.
Crunching
Steel.

Later: Sun.
Shining,
Bright.

Light refracting off jewels.
Glistening,
And sparkling.
No longer is cruel.
