The room was dark,

moans, music deafening,

lights and shadows,

making sensations,

dance like flames,

in this boy,

eyes shut tight,

to resist the flicker,

and the spark.

The commotion stops,

silence in gulfs,

gasps fill empty space,

the words are heard,

"Take the boy, I have no need,

of one with such a bleeding heart."

The door to his room opens,

and a man dressed in silk,

and gold looks as if he will be sick,

stares at this boy,

"Arise child, I am holy,

and you have been chosen.

We can not spare anyone of worth,

so we send you,

to the far away king,"

this holy man said,

For our town is now broken."
