Black Paper Moon

Deep within the shadow hides the Black Paper Moon.

Within it lies the truth to the darkness.

Deep inside the witches sing their song of woe.

The song is then played by the cicadas

Which chatter their lives away.

The forest that once flowed with evergreen trees,

Burns to a crisp within the Black Paper Moon.

The sand castles that were built with serene beauty,

Dissolve away into the ocean of sin.

The land which gave birth to life,

Takes away every living soul without a second glance.

The only light comes from the Black Paper Moon.

It looks towards the Earth and whispers its lies of love.

Life is born yet again on Earth.

But none have the will to survive.

The Black Paper Moon cries out in pain,

To feel no answer within its fain.

The winter wolves escape their shadowy cage of confinement,

And howl to the Black Paper Moon.

The Black Paper Moon begins to ignite into flames.

Fearing its end of days,

The Black Paper Moon resides into the shadow and never escapes.

The world is born anew,

Life has now forgotten the Black Paper Moon.

Except for the winter wolves,

Who continue to howl at the Black Paper Moon.
