In our learning workshop we learned about sonnets and how to write one. This is my (George Lou) rough draft of the first quatrain to my sonnet.

When the ominous gunflare flies to sky

The peaceful hometown of us fall in blood

Gods of graceful and kind certain deny

Evil hearts rise, slaughter fierce like cruel flood

Mind the spelling: slaughter. It's promising, but where's the rest of the sonnet?
